Is there any place that can modify a PCM for a 1995 XJ6?
Trying to use the PCM from a 1997 in a 1995 and finding that the 1997 has circuits that the 1995 doesn't have and is setting codes for those systems - Specifically Canister close off and Fuel tank pressure pressure sensor circuits. Would like to have these circuits disabled. Thanks, Tom '

Welcome to the forum Tom,
I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X300 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help. Graham |
The circuits can be simulated by placing a resistor in the path
Off the top of my head the 2 devices wire go into the eengine ECU Do all the exterior lights work Researching |

Sorry, haven't gotten back yet, but we did think of that, but wouldn't the PCM be looking for a change on the FTP sensor?

the ECU may monitor it's perimeters but the ECU and BPM talk to each other through a single wire digital data bus as the Orange wire on page 183 of the wiring guide Where the flag comes from would be a guess for me For the 95 : http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Auto.../jagxj1995.pdf This is the wire the OBD 2 reader is looking at I believe There is a Jaguar training guide on my laptop somewhere on this data bus for the later X308 but can be extrapolated back for the X300 Ding :There is a bigger doc somewhere but the game is on |
