Throttle body adjustment????

Anyone have the procedure to adjust the slop out of the throttle body and the downshift button where should it be turned in or out too??

The kickdown button under the throttle pedal just screws in-out. Adjust it outward for earlier kickdown but if you go too far you'll restrict WOT.

The switch might be inoperative....they can rust out from moisture. A test light or meter will confirm operation

The throttle body itself doesn;t require adjustment but there are cable adjusters to take up any slack in the cables. You'll see them on the cable near the firewall...sorta like coupling that twist apart and can be turned. It'll be self evident once you get started on the job.

There's an adjuster for each cable: pedal to traction control and traction control to throttle body. I take them right to zero slack. If the engine speed increases you've gone too far and are actually opening the throttle :-)

Thanks doug I will give it a try

Ok well got bored so went out and watched the throttle acuation under the charger while pressing the throttle fully and it was next to not moving at all. So played withnthe adjustors and realized that I was only getting about 15 to 20 percent of my throttle before hand. When I would floor it at idle it would barely go too 3000 rpms. Now it revs too redline rather quickly hummmmmm. Now with 100 percent throttle i bet this thing will get up and move ALOT better. I want to thank you much doug worked like a charm. One little annoyance down a few more to go lol.

At idle, the R is supposed to restrict RPM to 3000, for safety. Adjust the cable with engine off but key on so the TB motor will open/close with accelerator pedal action.
