I am another new Jag owner, and I bought my well cared for 96 xj6 on 4/20. A previous owner had retrofitted some nice spoked wheels that may have come from an older xk8. They look great on the car but they are 15" and i see that the originals are 16's. They currently have decent tires with good tread on them but they are winter mud and snow radials and i would like to upgrade to a better touring/performance tire. The tires on there now are 225/60/15, which are an inch shorter than the 225/60/16 stock tires would be. If i got some 245/60/15's, they would be the same height and an inch wider. That would make my speedometer more accurate and i think there is ample clearance. Any thoughts on my best options for new tires?
