TPS 1995 xj6 4ltr
hello all,
Bit of a newbie, and getting confused after viewing a few sites.
Can anyone confirm that when going down hill and you take your foot off the throttle it should show as 99mpg and that this shows the tps is working correctly. Or have I got that wrong.
Trying to find why fuel consumption has gone up, have cleaned MAF/THROTTLE BODY/ CHECKED FOR AIR LEAKS/NEW PLUGS/ AND LAMBDAS. She runs lovely, its just the increase in fuel that's bothering me.
No codes showing on my scan tool.
So thank you if anyone can answer my first point.
Ron.

The 99 does not guarantee the tps is working correctly. If you do a search for poor mileage you will find many threads dealing with the problem.
