I did the same! Spent most of the day cleaning-polishing-waxing.

It was a little discouraging, actaully. The paint on mine isn't so great these days. Starting to get some clear coat degradation and the front is pretty well peppered with rock chips. Makes it hard to get excited about the project.

Yours looks great, though!

Cheers
DD

Since I joined this forum, couple months ago, I pay more attention to the Jaguar and started to pampering her. All day full detail( wash, wax, engine steam, carpet steam) replaced oem head radio with another head that I had on the shelve for decade, replaced cam gasket, synthetic oil for the rear end, and installed new spark plugs. Tomorrow, I am chasing down a rattle noise somewhere along the exhaust system. Headliner will be next week.

Looks great! I just bought mine and since I'm pretty clueless about detailing, I'm having a guy come to my office next week and do mine. He's gotten great reviews and I was happy to hear the words "clay" when talking to him, so I'll be curious to see how it looks after.

...I do like doing most things myself though, so I'll learn all the tricks. These cars look so much better when they're shiny and clean.

A reminder... MAACO did my paint. My neighbor's company uses them commercially so based on his recommendation I trusted the Jag to them. I had some very minor overspray on headlight surrounds to clean up. So minor that I really had to look for it. And there is one spot that I plan to have them retouch.

For $900 I am pretty happy with it. You results at MAACO may vary!
