turn signal click?

turn signal click?
Just brought home a '95 XJ6 VDP, my first Jag. I LOVE IT!!!
I've noticed that all the turn signals work, but the "clicker" doesn't. When I signal for a turn, there is no click whatsoever. Is this by design?
Also, when/if I open the door with the lights on or the key in the ignition there is no warning tone. Wondering if that is by design as well or if these two issues are tied together.
Any input?

RE: turn signal click?
mine dont click either... maybe i am low on blinker fluid? hahaha... seriously, something tells me this is a simpler fix than tracking down a needle in a haystack electrical gremlin.. has to be some sort offusable link or something minor causing this... i refuse to think that its something that requires heavy troubleshooting...hmmmm, hazard switch? i think my mgb had the same problem, i replaced the hazardswitch and it was fixed.... so i wouldnt rule out the obvious connectionbetween turn signalsand the hazard switch - although i have already used my hazards.... however, i did notice(this is a recently aquired car) that my hole center cluster is not properl;y fastened and when i push the hazard inthe holemiddle section of the cluster pushes in...i wouldntbe suprised that these two "issues" are interlinked..

RE: turn signal click?
It was in fact the speaker. I patched in a spare pc case speaker that I had (I do a lot of computer work) and now have the turn signal click, door chimes, ignition warnings... Very simple fix.
Further, it turns out that it's not linked to the stereo. That happened to be a coincidence. I'm still troubleshooting wiring issues. I'm starting to think that my stereo deck is bad. I've been looking to upgrade to a HK system, but for the life of me CANNOT find a head unit. I'm about to start calling around local junk yards.
