Upgraded front brakes Fosseway Performance
Since the question of upgraded front brakes for the X300 comes up every so often without anyone seeming to find anything, I thought it was interesting to run across this:

Not crazy expensive either at around $700
I know nothing about this company or if these are really any better than the already excellent OEM brakes on the X300.
One thing that is often pointed out in the X308 forum is that the stock brakes seem to perform just as well as the optional "big" four piston Jaguar Brembo brakes. But they do look nice

These are for the front brakes, and the parking brake is in the rear.
Although they do say something about a kit for the rear:
These kits say they are for "lightweight kit cars" that use the X300 front suspension so until someone checks with them, I'm not certain they are suitable for use on the X300 itself.

We can also offer a rear caliper kit which removes the old drum handbrake and we can also big brake options for the front and rear.

I have slotted front discs and red stuff front pads on the XJR and they are much better than the standard ones, which would fade on a twisty road I frequent.
I would recommend these as an easy upgrade
The standard discs look small in an 18” wheel, by today’s standards, but stop really well, much crisper pedal feel and no fade

Currently we can offer two options for the front of the X300 / XJ40 brakes but these are really intended for kit cars.
One uses our standard four pot caliper and the standard front disc. This will not perform as well as the standard caliper when used on a full weight saloon.
We also offer a big disc version which uses our four pot caliper with an over size 325 x 35 mm two part rotor. This is the same as our big brake kit for the Jensen Interceptor (see attached link)

This may offer the performance you are looking for - pricing is the same as the Jensen Kit. . We could also do this with a larger six pot caliper if required as a bespoke kit for around £ 1,650 + VAT
