take a look and let me know what you think. Is it the new design on the rotor plate, the coating on the rotors or both? Please chime in and let me know.

Upgraded Coated Rotor Packs for the M90
Magnum Powers is now offering coated and rebuilt rotor packs for the M90 that includes a special abradive coating with our own new bearing plate that incorporates trapped air vent ports for greatly improved efficiency. These rotor packs have been tested and the results are astonishing.

For instance a MPx with coated rotors moved as much spinning 10% overdrive as a MPx with bare rotors did running 20% overdrive! Not only that but it made 8rwhp more at the same boost pressure!

We are offering these rotors for only $550 exchange a huge hp per buck value.

All this info is off of the sccoa site. This chart shows how the new rotors at 10% OD outperform bare rotors at even 20% OD. The new rotors at 10% less OD made just 0.1psi less boost, but picked up 8rwhp. This shows how the new rotors get more work done with less parasitic loss than OD alone freeing up HP.

sent my sc off to get this new sc plate with larger port vents and coated rotors. It is said that just this mode alone will ad 2-3 pounds of boost and increase airflow by 10%, if this is true I may not need to try the lower sc pulley upgrade. We shall see when my sc gets back in about a week. This may satisfy my needs for a while, if not I will change the diff next.

Ill be watching this post eagerly
I had read about this treatment and modification before but having spent so much on my car in the last 2 years I would like to try the throttle body first then read about what you are doing
I have done enough experimenting for a while someone else can take over now (LOL)

I used maxbore.com and was happy with the service, only 100 American and fast service.... You can get the oe throttle body up to 80mm but be sure to tell him that you want the bore straight through. you have seen the example I posted on this site, you can really tell the difference from the pics I posted. I let everyone know as soon as i get sc back from magnum powers.

Upgraded rotor plate and coated rotors are back and I have to say that this mode works! The rotor plate vent is huge, i mean really huge, and this allows the rotors to move more air with less effort. Air temps are down as the rotors are able to move more air more efficiently, maybe now I cant try the larger lower pulley. I dont know exactly how much hp was gained but the difference is noticeable, would have to dyno the car for exact numbers. For anyone thinking of doing this I have to tell you that if you have your tb bored out to 80mm and run this combo you will find that first gear goes by pretty quick so you have to be gentle on the gas pedal. I think I may go back to a stock tb and see how it feels on the street. What I really would like next is to change my diff, go to a stock tb and let the good times roll......:icon_pala:
