If you need an alternator for your X300 be careful if you use Eurocarparts as they seem to supply a part that doesn't fit. I bought one and the first that was delivered was covered in grease and dinked which they replaced. Now i know why it was in that state. You only find out it doesn't work with the belt tensioner after you fit the main mounting bolt. The lug that the tensioner attaches to is about 30 degrees out.
I think they supply the Lucas equivalent part code LRB00500 via Lucas and RTX.
Using the Denso part code on the alternator it seems the correct code is LRB00379.
Be warned. A week I've been trying to sort this out.

HI I work for an independent motor factors in the UK and have lost count of the number of times I have read or heard stories like this about Euro car parts .if you cross match your number to a Delco Remy part you will have more luck
