Washer Resevoir
My plastic washer resevoir is toast on my 97 XJR and I removed it from the vehicle. Whilst I try and find a reasonably priced replacement does anyone know the easiest way to eliminate the light on the dash that tells me I am low on fluid? Thanks |
The fluid level switch is the Orange / Red wire to Black car frame ground
With the connector removed and you get the light would mean putting a jumper wire in the connector would put it out When I got M'Lady P the res was missing but you have one to compare on a X308 from 1998 to 2006 at the salvage yard I know the filler neck cap is different but may work , you would have to verify the connectors are the same If you are crafty a large powder protein mix bottle ( 5 LB size ) from the gym fits perfect Note : there is a resistor built into the switch uf unknown value so the jumper wire need a resistor to not short out the instument cluster device it's wired to |
