Default What are these trunk straps for
Can anyone enlighten me as to what the straps are in the trunk attached to the jack holder.They are fixed at the back of the jack storage insert. They have velco at the free end.

G’day gibbon,

The metal fittings attached to those straps should be bonded to the trunk floor so you can secure the tools properly.

Nice tie-downs, Jeff! Did you re-do them just for the photo? I've been meaning to re-bond mine, they've been like Ian's for a while now. But out of sight...

Ha Ha! No I rebonded them not long after I bought the car around 12 years ago. I just used some contact cement.
