Wheels

Will a wheel from a 1999 xj6 vp fit on a 1996 xj6 vp.
lugs seem to match up. Same diameter.
found a spare 1999 wheel.

Even if the '99 is an XJ8, I think the wheel should fit your '96 XJ6. There may be some exceptions, but I think most of the standard 7JX16 Jaguar alloy wheels from the XJ40, X300 and X308 are interchangeable. I don't know for certain about the 8JX18 Asteroids or Pentas or the 8.5JX19 Montreals, but hopefully another member will know.

Cheers,

Don

Thanks for the info.
I looked up the chart and the hole pattern and offset match.
Good to have a spare.

Wheel-size.com has very useful references about wheel size and bolt patterns of Jaguar of all years. X300 and X308 share the same PCD patterns i.e. 5x120.65, so the Penta wheels originally of X308 would fit properly on X300.

Check the diameter of the center hole as well

A '96 XJ6 will have old style front hubs. I think many later cars have smaller hubs with the sealed bearings....so the center holes might be smaller
