Stunning XJR in top condition but I thought all XJRs had the darker wood trim or was this an option.

This is an ongoing debate. I also find the chrome grille surround to be odd for 1995. I thought they were all painted.

If anyone is interested (and its not TOO far away). I'd be happy to drive my XJR across town to visit this XJR and check it out.

Not a "debate" .... the standard XJ6 burl walnut (versus the dark wood) was standard with some exterior colors depending on the model year.

See my thread on year-by-year (USA) options:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ckages-115236/

It calls out the years where some exterior colors came standard with the light wood interior.

Now here is something I haven't been able to clarify: Some exterior colors for the XJR retained the chrome grill and trunk lip trim, versus being body colored. White seems to be one, and Titanium in 1997 does as well. But that distinction doesn't seem to be documented anywhere.

But more on-topic, nice looking car and good price. Must be a later 95 as it has a glove box.

It's got the X308 lighting "upgrades" too, with XJ8 projector headlamps. Nice.

I prefer the look of the stained wood on the two-tone XJR trim. But this one could have originally been a special order, along with the chrome pieces on front and rear.

Yeah, the headlights and tail lights have been changed out to later X308 units it appears.

That may just be because the previous owner liked the new ones better, or? Might be a good question to inquire about to see why. Could be an indicator of body work in the worst case. May be nothing more than a cosmetic update though.

The later tail lights look good on a white car
