Talking Wish me luck ladies and gents!

Monday morning begins the official cross-country move from Buffalo, NY to Phoenix, AZ.

After trying to figure out every option I have decided to unfortunately put 2000 miles on the R in only a few days, yet save another $600+ if I were shipping it. Already did that once when I bought it!

So wish me luck everyone. My brother will be driving my Tacoma and of course I'll be cruising in style through many, many states.

Can't wait to continue my mobile detailing in such a sunny heaven, weather is already getting miserable and depressing in buffalo.

Will let you all know when I get there (and hopefully the Jag too) in one piece!

Wishing you safe travels Fullthrottle! Enjoy the trip. I've had my x300 for all of 5 months now and have added 8k to the odometer...enjoyed nearly (some were to work on weekends) every mile!

YYYEEEEEEEEEEEEAHHHHHH BOY!! May the wind always be at your back during this trip so your MPG is higher, or just draft behind your Tacoma! Safe travels and can't wait to have another member in the AZ soon!

Lol. Nope this post is from last week. We hit the road this morning (Oct. 5) phase one is done we are just outside of St. Louis. Couple more days and well be there.

Thanks for all the prior comments guys!

Washed the jag yesterday, but after 600 miles (the first 3 hours being rain) she's not so pretty anymore.

The Tacoma is filled to the brim with a custom wooden built truck cap and my jag is packed to the ceiling front and back.

Pictures will be posted at the end of this journey. Can't wait to see te arch tomorrow in St. Louis!

Sounds like you are making some good progress. What kind of fuel mileage is she averaging?

Hey XJ, I see your point , you wash and detail it but a rain ruins its beauty lol
Anyway, it's your job you can do it anytime you like

The Arch is cool!!! I drove my first Jag past it about 5 in the morning when I picked her up from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

FullThrottle, you may be glad you didn't get there yet. I hear a heck of a hail storm rolled through in the past 24. That Cat wouldn't look so good with multiple dings in it.

Yeah, we have had some crazy weather here. Hail the size of golf *****, even a few tornadoes in northern AZ.

Edit: This pop-up was parked on the side of my parent's rental property in Scottsdale...

Hey guys my brother and I got to Phoenix last Thursday night. Managed to get there in 3 days. All I have to say is 2200 miles is one heck of a drive in that time! The arch in St. Louis was awesome and we have a bunch of good pictures from when we left until now.

Both the XJR and Tacoma made it all the way there without a hiccup!

My aunt and uncle live in Phoenix too and one of their vehicles got rocked big time with that hail storm...$5300 in damage!

I don't know what I would do if something like that happened to the R...the Tacoma is replaceable, Jag...not so much.

But over all perfect safe trip there and over the weekend we got everything organized and finished in our North Scottsdale condo rental.

Pictures of everything soon to come, especially what the Jag looked like before we left and the aftermath 2200 miles later...YIKES.

Be back on soon were working on getting Internet right now all from the iPhone!
