X300 LWB Sovereign - fob does not close doors nor activate alarm and central locks

I have just soldered two cables in the harness that pass in the trunk right hinge. Now I have lights in the trunk.... but it seems that I've created a new problem - one bip sounds when using the remote fob to lock the doors, they do not lock and the alarm system doesn't arm.
At first I checked all doors to see if there was any open door... but they were all closed.
One strange thing happened - I think the electric sun roof as opened by itself.
All doors lock and unlock with the key.
And the fob works fine for unlocking so it's not a fob issue.
Does anyone ever had this type of problem? May you please help me with this subject?

There is a trunk switch sensor on the trunk closure upper latch that is in that bundle and is Red / Yellow color

I'm going to check the harness and look for that yellow/red cable. I'll give you some feedback tomorrow... its already night time in Portugal and I can't see the wire colours by now.

Don't take the BT4 connector above the fuel tank off unless you have to , same as the LS3 and RS3 connector

So, all the wires are by now connected.
And the problem persisted.
I ended by disconnecting the trunk connector plug (plug pictures below). Without this connection I lost the trunk lights but the central lock and the alarm activation are back.
Does this plug also connect the microswitch? Its likely because the "system", after disconnecting this plug, does not receive an open door (open trunk) information, and now allows central locking ans alarm activation.
It seems that I need to remove the trunk latch in order to reach the microswitch, Any relevant observation before I perform this action?

On page 149 the electric actuator to release the trunk latch is Yellow / Orange and the other wire is black

This would be on the car side of the connector and not on the actuator pigtail side

Check fuse # 8 / 15 amp Trunk fuse box

Could be ( guessing ) the SLCU does not see current through the pulling coil of the trunk release relay and gets lost in it's sequence steps

The SLCU works on sequence steps and can get lost if something is missing before it will command certain things like ........

The SCLU and Body Prossesor both talk to each other

Page 95 sows your trunk lights come out of your Body Pressesor Module or sometimes called BCM

You can test the actuator with a 9 volt battery or the cars battery and is current protected by the resistance in the actuator

You can test with a meter to see the microswitch work

And you can swap the trunk release relay on page 27 on the trunk fuse box area

I think there was some discussion on and the actuator rod ends linkage wearing causing problems

The information you kindly share is too technical for my level of understanding, both on electrical components and of technical words in english language...
-actuator?
-pulling coil? release relay?
-actuator pigtail?
-SLCU?

May you please clarify in simpler, non-technical words?
I did check the fuses and they are all ok (I checked all fuses in the trunk fuse box).

In the meantime I will try to find a used microswitch. I think it's part number LNC6242AC.
The plug in the microswitch image below is the one that I've disconnected.

Imiguel, you are exactly on the right track. The microswitch on the trunk latch is not working. When you disconnect the plug, the system thinks the trunk is closed (trunk lights off, no trunk open indication) and will allow central locking, and the alarm system to arm.

The trunk latch can be loosened at the two bolts. Be aware there are two rods that attach to the latch on the inside, which might need to be removed to allow access to the switch.

I'll try to check the rods linkages and understand the latch connections before trying to remove it.

If you can remove the trunk closed micro switch and take it to the auto parts store they can test it with a meter before purchasing one and perhaps saving some money if it;s a loose linkage or mechanizem problem

The worn rod end is on the electric motor that releases the latch from what I understand

The switch is broker , probably from slamming the trunk lid.
As stated unplug till you find another.
Its an open circuit to the alarm system the one beep states something is open,its the trunk unless you close or pull the plug...….
