X300 speedo issue

X300 speedo issue
Hi there, Blimey, only just joined and here we go with the first of many problems that my poor tired out jag has.
Okay, she is a 1995 XJSport, 3.2 with about 125,000 miles. The speedo seems to work (sometimes) once warm and after reaching a speed of 50+ MPH. I have heard that it may be conected to the ABS light that is constantly on.
Please advise.................?
This is my first Jag so please be patient with me if this is some form of common fault.
