Hello there,

Are there any DIY maintenance videos or workshop manuals for the X300? Also, any tips or tricks with working on them yourself would be appreciated greatly 😃 —at the moment, I don’t really have any information at all so it all helps.

Thanks for your time!

I don't know about "specific" videos, but youtube is full of various repair videos, depending upon your needs. If you're handy with a spanner, and it helps as main dealer costs can put ownership of an XJ out of reach of many people, then there's not a whole lot you can't tackle yourself. Like most cars, the XJ has it's own specific weaknesses, and you'll see lots of recurring themes on here be it electrical issues, knocking rear suspension, sagging headliners, none of which are terminal.
Ask questions on the forum on whatever job you're considering, and you'll get a ton of responses and lots of very useful information, based on actual experiences. Workshop manuals can be downloaded from the forum, via the "stickies" at the top of the forum.
And finally, welcome aboard.

Have you looked at the Jaguar Forums File Download Area?

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...r-index-50609/

There's a lot of useful X300 information available for (free) download from the forum MediaFire storage.

Graham

Do lots of search of this forum and you will find it. There are extensive DYI maintenance with instructions posted here. Tackle one maintenance at a time. Start with basic maintenance such as spark plugs, air filter, belts, cam cover gasket, coolant flush etc. Suspension top busing, grease wheel bearing and adjust, grease chassis, and transmission filter and oil should be next.

I was unaware of that resources existence - serves me right for not playing around on these forums more. Thank you for showing me. 😃

Thank you for your advice - as soon as I can I’ll crawl under her, and give her a good oil change.
