xj6 won't start after parked
I have had this 95 xj6 parked for about 18 months. I can't get it to start although it will run on starting fluid in air intake. Where should I look first? Thanks in advance. Also it ran perfect 18 months ago.

rpeppers, I would first do a fuel pressure check. Should be up around 40-50 psi with the engine off by the key in the RUN position. If you are not getting that, then you have a problem with your fuel pump. If you are getting the 40-50 psi, then you most likely have either a lot of water that has settled to the bottom of the tank (engines don't run well on just straight water) or you sucked up a lot of garbage and you managed to clog your fuel injectors.
Hopefully someone else will have another few checks for you to do. |
If I don't have fuel preasure how do I get to the fuel pump?
