Default xj6 X300 radio

Hello,
I'd like to remove the stock radio/cassette system on my just bought Jaguar and put a modern aftermarket one. Any model can work ?
Any hints on how to attach the new radio (wire schema) ?

Look to see if you have the 8 speaker wires missing . If you do then you have the premium setup as the speaker wires come out of the trunk from a external final power amplifier .

The original speakers rot and look like in the pic and sound lousy .

Later you can easily put a external jack into the original stereo head unit to play any device ( not the poor cassette device ) .
