Default XJ6L Sovereign 406 coolant temp circuit warrning light

Hi everyone!

Back again with a check engine light. Was on my way home from the mountains on a fairly warm day. Stopped for a picture opportunity and when I resumed on my way I noticed the check engine light. I looked at the engine temp gauge and it was reading all the way cold. I had no choice on a Sunday evening but to keep driving. Eventually the temp came back to normal. It is running fine and no signs of overheating. I had a friend check the code but all he said was temperature coolant circuit. I looked and there looks to be 4 or 5 different codes that have to do with the coolant. Any suggestions?

I'd recommend to just change both temp sensors on the thermostat housing. they are easy peasy then have your friend clear the codes. One sensor is for the ECM and the other is for the guage. One thing could be to replace the thermostat as well. They don't last very long and sometimes never heat all the way up. Could be one, could be two, could be all three.
