Post How to clear Stability Control Fail and ABS after removing central console panel Reso

Hi guys. It's been a very long time since I've been online in here... I was abroad for 6 months and now back to my sweet home

So... here is my issue. Yesterday night I noticed that some of the bulbs on the central console panel (on the A/C control) are blown so I decided to replace them. I knew very well the procedure so it took me nothing more than 5 minutes to disassemble and assemble it back. The problem is that while on hurry I forgot to connect the wires for the Valet, ASC off and Locking buttons panel... then I started the car and I've got "Stability Control Fail" and ABS lights on. I realized my mistake, so I turned off the car, opened the console again and connected the cable back.

The problem is that now the messages are on all the time, even when driving the car. I have an OBDII diagnostic tool but it gives me "No pending or stored errors"... which is weird!

I remember that 2 years ago I did a similar stupidity with starting the car and putting on D to test for noises from the rear wheels while the car was lifted on a stand... and the ABS module lighted on immediately. Then I had the same problem with cleaning this error, but I don't remember what I did to fix it...

So... any ideas?!?! Besides it was a funny day cause I had drifting my Jag all day long on each turn with a good step on the acceleration

This was the second thing to try after the OBDII... no luck with it.

Sounds as if you've got a real fault.
You won't see codes because the reader only sees P codes.
It seems a bit of a coincidence that this followed your intervention.
Are you sure you reconnected the right wires ?
