Default 3rd Brake Light Issue: Fuse & Bulbs OK... Now What? (FUSE CHART, TOO)

Gentlemen:

I looked at the bulbs and all filaments are intact. (If one bulb is dead, wouldn't the rest work? However, they all LOOKED ok.)

I checked fuse #8 in the trunk next to the battery. It looks fine. (The element is not broken.)

Now what? Wiring? Any testing I can do to help determine the cause?

Thank you,

SirJag

P.S. I'm posting the fuse chart for everyone's reference. Note that this is one of several fuse boxes in the car.

You need to buy a digital multimeter. It will allow you to check for voltage, continuity, and resistance. Even a cheapo $10 one will help you with a lot of problems and last for many years.

For example, it would have allowed you to check for the presence of current, whether at least one bulb is good, whether the ground circuit is good, whether a fuse is good ... and so on. You can also use it around the house and on other devices.
