RE: anyone know how to change the belts on the XJR'S?

Not too bad a job, but made a lot easier if you remove the electric fans. They are held in with two bolts, one on each upper corner. Just take out the two bolts, unplug the harness, lift it upand it is out. Next, using a 1/2" breaker bar, insert the end in the socket in the idler pully and pull on the bar to move the idler enough to remove the supercharger belt (make sure you pay attention to the routing of the belt). Then, if you want to replace the accessory belt (recommended), use the breaker bar again to move the accessory belt idler like you did on the supercharger belt. Remove the belt (pay attention to the routing) and replace with a new belt. In case you forgot how to route either of the belts, here is a link to a manual that will show you how (page 117 and page 119): http://jaguar.telko.ru/Vehicle%20Spe...%20models).pdf. Then replace the supercharger belt. Re-install the electric fans, being sure the plug the wiring harness back in. You are now done and have saved yourself a significant amount of money over going to the dealer.
