Approached by a stranger trying to buy my xjr
Older gent knocked on my door today said he wants my car. He's been driving by for a week and owns a 2000 XJR, but really wanted a 2003. Wondering what I should price it at. It needs minor things as ive taken care of all the major issues.
Has 148k, but new coils, coolant hoses, motor mounts, bushings all over the place, Differential, injectors, rotors, serviced every 3000 miles and much much more. About 50% of the miles were long road trips to Detroit, north Carolina, new Orleans ...
I really dont want to sell it... in fact, i was slated to put in new arden exhaust and start upgrading the interior and then to the engine so no amount of money would have bought it... but now i'm thinking in could offer it for a premium price and if he bites i go find a XJR 100 or Super V8 which i really have wanted for a long time. Pic attached is my car in the forefront and his in the back. Not often you see two XJR's lol

There's a deal somewhere in amongst this....let him have it, but take his in exchange, and enough on top to pay for the planned mods, including the Avos upgrade.
Then fly past him, when you stop you can say, my god this thing is twice as fast as the 03.....ah, the power of Jaguarforums, priceless
Why is it when you look for a 100 or SV8, they're never around - but when you're not, there's plenty?
