Hello everyone, after having my brake module sent out and professionally serviced, the module had to sit on my shop bench for about six months while I was recovering from medical. I finally am well again and installed the module and now I received the ASC not available, incorrect part fitted. I fear that during repair or maybe sitting unpowered for a time may have lost its programming. How do I reintroduce this part back into the car in which it came? What method can I use? Can my Auto-Enginuity perform this task? I wouldn’t know how to perform this due to inexperience, is there a walk through? Deuce double aught deuce XJR. Thank you for any leads.

 

I use WDS or IDS to configure the module to the CAN bus when that happens.

 

Auto Ingenuity should be up to the task from what I've seen - these parts are programmed, without memory function so have you been sent your particular module back? Do you recognize it?
They should be plug and play but as motorcarman has stated this can happen.

Maybe a hard reset. If this doesn't clear, have you slid the locking connector all the way home?
Final thing, what OBD code is it giving?

If the INCORRECT PART FITTED message is displayed, I don't think it communicating with the CAN bus and will likely NOT let access to DTCs.

Get it configured and you will probably be fine.

 

Thank you to everyone who replied. I had previously marked the original before sending it out for repair to verify that I would get the same unit back. I had also suspected the wiring connection and proceeded to trace it out to reveal wires not making contact. I have made repairs and I finally have a happy car again (no DIC messages) Many thanks again for all responses.

 

The module had been diconnected just for a day. I had done a Hard Reset when it was off. Also I might have nicked something when I had opened it.
Is there a chance that the unit can be reconnected by a dealership or should I try a used/refurbished one?
Having a car of the same year for spares, which unfortunately has the 6 line evrsion fitted, I would also like to know if I could change the two systems.

Hello!
Well the dealership wasn't able to configure the ABS-Module (LNC2210BD) . They said the unit didn't show up at all on the system. Also I later dicovered damaged processor-connections, which are beyond repair for me.
Having the more advanced ABS +track System (LNF2210AD) on my spares-car I would be grateful if someone could advise me if a full transplant with brakelines and cylinder would be possible.

You need a JLM 20555 (actual Jaguar part number) for your car.
The LNC2210BD is NOT a valid Jaguar part number.(it is the number printed on the case)

Your car does not have TRACTION CONTROL. (5 pipe, 6 valve)

You would likely need to replace the entire engine bay body harnesses to convert to TRACTION CONTROL.
The electrical guide will have the differences.
