Battery tender
I'm going away for 3-4 months and the car (98 XJR) will be outside. Since the battery is in the trunk, how can a battery tender be installed without leaving the trunk open ? Your thoughts and experience would be greatly appreciated.

You can connect it under the hood. There is a + terminal on the passenger side, at the rear of the inner fender. You have to prise back the little rubber cover. For negative connect to any good ground (I use the shock plate bolts)
I always connect under the hood, as it's more convenient than removing the battery cover. |
