Default Help Please, ASC not Available Warning

Got in my 2001 XJR this morning when the amber ABS light came on along with the following warning ASC not available, Trac not available, when I switch the ignition off, and re start the car all the warnings go away, but after about 15 minutes driving they come back, has anyone any ideas what the problem could be?

it can be a range of issues. usually dirty wheelspeed sensors or fried connections within the "abs module" search for threads on here about cleaning wheelspeed sensors and soldering ABS module.

my car has been doing the same thing from time to time. I have cleaned all the wheelspeed sensors and am still having the intermittent fault.
my next thing, if I decide to go there, will be to remove the ABS module and see if my soldering is messed up

One ABS sensor broken cable might be the problem of you both; it was on mine, after opening the modulator searching for pin problem , it was finally the front left cable.

Hi
We get asc warning message sometimes 3 or 4 times in week and other weeks nothing at all.

I believe in our case that it is hot weather that is causing the issue. I turn the air conditioning to its coldest setting and the issue disappears.

if you want to buy autoengenuity software you will be able to read the "c-code" which will tell you what your exact problem is. an independent shop may have the required equipment to read the c-code also.
