chain tensionIt's my turn for timing er replacement.
On Friday morning go out to start the car and hear a rattle, popped the hood and sound like it was coming for the SC, thinking it was the bearings. Closed the hood and started my daily commute to work.
So, get the work, get out the car, leaving it running, popped the hood and it was quiet, no rattle, felt happy that it wasn't the tensioner.
Now, time to go home, closed my eyes and started the car, dang rattle, I'm thinking it has to be the tensioner, so I do my 67 mile, all highway drive home, the car seem more responsive at high rpm, but sluggish at low rpms. Stopping at a stop like, the car had a slight shake, I baby it home, got into the driveway and thats where it been since.
Order the parts off of ebay, two tensioners w/the 4 shorter bolts for $139.58 $10.16 shipping item #350450512224, should be here by Friday. Going to craft my own tools, from the stuff I already have in my garage.
Should turn out to be a fun day on Saturday.
