Default Steel wheels for snow tires

I am looking to purchase 4 plain steel rims to mount my winter snow tires on - 1999 VDP. Can anyone recommend a reliable source? Nothing fancy is necessary.

Thanks

It might be easier to get a set of 16" wheels from a car that is being dismantled. That's what I did.

Otherwise steel wheels from a 1980's Chevrolet S10 or Camaro might fit. The bolt pattern is the same and the offset is close. Not sure about the center bore though.

Thanks for the idea. I have been looking for a salvage source as well as new. As for what fits, I found the technical data and a cross reference chart, soI have that angle covered. I just need a source for either used or new steel rims. Thanks again

I use a set from a late 90's XK8 for my winter tires on my XJR Bought them for my x300VDP as summers and used the original VDP's 16's for my winters.

A lot of rims will fit -- I'm surprised you are having a problem finding a set?

This is common practice in Germany, you see a lot of top end BMWs and Mercedes running round on steel wheels or ones with wheel trims in the winter.

They are my initials! But in the world of Jaguar it stands for: S-Type R. Like an XJR but in an S-Type body.
