Code Q: P0307, P1314, P1316, P0357, misfire and CEL.
Hello again all, it is once again past my 3-6 months of drivetime without an issue, so my XJR is making me do some troubleshooting.
Started occasionally, but now my misfire (running on 7 cylinders it feels like) and CEL (sometimes flashing) is continuos and does not go away. Most recently the codes in the thread title are present. And my code reader says “Fuelsys2 OL-fault”.
Here’s the odd thing, I can clear the codes with my scanner and the CEL goes out and the engine returns to a smooth idle. For half-to-one second. Then the CEL and misfire are back. It seems to me if it was a coil or air leak, etc, it would not go away when clearing codes.
The air filter and plugs are not too old, maybe 5k miles. Both fuel pumps are new a year or 2 ago.
I previously had a restricted performance and check rear lights error which I fixed by replacing the brake switch and wiring the tail lights to the trailer connector (control module is still toast as I get the check light error when the brake pedal is pressed). That stuff is just FYI in case it plays into what I am seeing now. I had a few months of blissful no codes and proper running, but no more
I tried removing/reseating the coilpack wires and loosening and reseating the #6 and 7 coils as those things had fixed the issue once before, but not now.
Any thoughts or test I can run? I can use a DMM well and my scanner can graph quite a few of the ECU parameters in real time if it will help to provide more information, just tell me what parameters I should be looking at.
If nothing else, tomorrow I guess I’ll swap coils around and see if the error codes follow.
Thanks for any help,
Mike

Well a new coil seems to have fixed the issue. I bought this one from Autozone and used a $15 coupon:
Duralast/Ignition Coil C1323 at AutoZone.com - 1 reviews
I should have just pulled the connectors from one coil at a time and seen which coil didn’t cause an increase in stumble/change in idle; would have figured out bad coil a bit sooner.
I will hold out until after a few trips to work to claim victory though……
