Eurospare fuel sending unit

Gents,

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Well, another weird problem I've run into on my 2000 VDP SC. My original fuel sender (LNE 2000AB) started going out on me, so I replaced it with a Eurospare LNE 2000AC. I had range issues after replacement - the tank was showing close to an 1/8 more full than it actually was. After letting it sit and restart after about an 1/8 low, it will go from an 1/8 to empty with about 11 miles on range.

Of course, I got a replacement to see if that was just a dud...nope. So, we grabbed the arm off the old fuel sender and put it on the new one. Seems to be the same thing.

I question now to bother trying to get an "OEM" LNE 2000AC, or go for an old LNE 2000AB OEM. Or, just pull one off the graveyard and be done with it.

Anyone else see this with a replacement lately? Thanks as always for the help!

Mine has always read a bit low on fill up, so I asked my inde' about it. He told me a groove can wear in, where the indicator rides. I say this to let you know to be aware of a graveyard unit.

But, I believe these folks test theirs... XJ8-VDP-XJR (98-03) - Fuel Injection & Delivery - Page 1 - Jaguar Parts Specialist

So, after multiple attempts, I have confirmed that they are rebuilding the "DBC" part that was used as early as the x300 cars. This is NOT compatible with the two other revisions done to the fuel sender.

I found a good used fuel sender off a scrapper, cleaned it, plugged it in and the level is perfect. I told worldpac about this and the eurospare part they are providing. No matter what I did, my fuel sender was showing higher than what it should with the eurospare.
