how to swap i 98 xjr into a 99 xjr

hey guys im going to help someone out some day and i will explain everything that will need to been changed to put a 98 xjr engine into a 99 xjr. you will need to change out the following thing.

1. the crank sensor on the driver side valve cover.(harness plug will not match)
2. the crank sensor when the transmission and engine bolt out. (harness plug will not match)
3. the power steering assembly(harness plug will not match)
4. im not 100% on slternator cause my engine did not come with a alternator but i used the 99 alternator
5. there is an oil sensor near the filter that is on the 99 motor but not on the 98 motor. have no fear the 99 xjr does not use the plug. it will just sit there.

here are all the extra parts that need to be order ahead if you want to get the job done faster

1. the exhaust header bolts are part number # JZC100036 (all mine snapped and you might as well order 8 while doing the swap so you wont have to put it in later)
2. NEW ENGINE MOUNTS (when i remover my engine my mount were not even together anymore). go on eBay and they should be for about $53 a side.
3. Tensioners or even the timing chain kit. ( i did not need one since the motor i bought already had it changed around but i think it would be best to change it while its out of the car)

the fluids that you will need for the job are
1. mobil 1 10w-30
2. transmission fluid Shell ATF 3403 - M115 (JAGUAR charged me $54 a quart but if you go to you Mercedes dealership they charged 19.99 oper quart).
3. power steering fluid DEXRON III fluid.
4. coolant (jaguar dealership said use dex cool coolant)
5. Smirnoff Ice. ( i grabbed it from a local certified dealer they will run you about $9.00 for a pack of 6, and it keeps the job flowing more smoothly)

that all that i can remember but i will post photos later on cause i am a picture guy and also want to say thank you to the fallowing jag forum members for all there support and help.
