IDS V118.5 anyone?

Hi - I'm looking to get hold of a copy of IDS V118.5
Anybody got a link, or willing to put an iso onto a share drive?

Trying to find diagnostic software to work on a 2000MY XJR seems nigh on impossible.

Cheers,
Tom

You will need a VCM (a common J2534 device will NOT work with IDS, only SDD version 125 onward)

Do you have an older Win XP 32 bit laptop?

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply. Yes I've got old laptops coming out of my ears, so no problem there. I've just lost out on an auction for a full WDS system, which is a bit frustrating, so now I'm looking to make up a VCM solution.
I'm a bit confused as the market seems to be flooded with VCM"2" units. Are these compatible, or do I need to keep looking for an original VCM?
Then I'll use the old software 118.5, or maybe 125.03.

All I want to do is clear/investigate this pesky lambda sensor fault (P1647) which remains even though I've changed the sensor twice and swapped left for right. I suspect a faulty engine ECU, but the replacement I have has the wrong CATS code so I can't just swap it over.

When you swap an ECM to the car you will need to perform an IMMOBILIZATION SETUP.

There can be only one ECM configured to the car at a time. If you install the original ECM back into the car after installing another, you need to configure it back the car AGAIN.

I don't think the VCM2 will be compatible.

I gather P1647 is a heater circuit fault so have you checked fuses, wiring, connectors etc all the way from the PCM? Such a fault is not very likely to be a bad PCM.
