Installed new rear sway bar bushings and links with pics
I installed new rear sway bar bushings and links on my XJR last night. She has 75K on the clock and I am getting her ready for a track weekend at Road Atlanta later this month.
Thanks to detailed instructions provided by Jim Lombardi, the job went very well.
Thank you very much, Jim, you are a wealth of info for this forum!
Took about and hour, including time to get the rear end of the car up on jack stands.
Total cost for parts was about $80.
I took it out for a brief drive after the install and it feels tighter. I replaced the upper front shock bushings last week and it is really starting to come together, getting back to that new car feel in handling and road feel.
The old bushings looked fine, but the links looked like they needed to be replaced.
I plan to do the front bushings and links tonight.
A few pics of the install below.
