IPOD / MP3 / AUX direct input (and I really mean direct!) for Jaguar XJ8/R at last

So thankful for all who have posted here, esp. J. Roal for the initial wiring help, and for QuadManiac for the critical point that the wiring colors on RT2 may differ from J. Roal's document, but pin functions should track. Certainly true for my 2002 VDP. I installed a T605 last night and MAN am I happy!! I can't believe I've had that I never investigated the possibility of adding aftermarket Bluetooth.
The installation looks absolutely professional, the audio quality is spectacular, and since I tapped in to the CD changer (which I *never* use), I now get music, Pandora, and everything else streaming beautifully to all four speakers without using the horrible cassette tape adapter that I've been using for years.
ME SO HAPPY!!!
One thing that isn't working perfectly is turn-by-turn audio navigation using my iPhone. If I'm streaming audio from my phone in to the CD channel of the stereo, turn-by-turn audio navigation comes through the audio system. But if I'm listening to AM/FM, although though an incoming call will interrupt the audio, the nav instructions won't do so. I expect that's because the iPhone is simply putting the turn-by-turn on the basic audio channel, which is being ignored by the head unit when CD isn't selected.
I would sure like the turn-by-turn nav to come to the head unit as the phone signaling comes in so that the stereo will be temporarily muted -- like it does on other fully-integrated nav systems. Probably too much to ask, but if anyone has figured out how to do this, I would really appreciate it.
Lastly, I'm SO HAPPY that the T605 supports raising Siri (by long-pressing the green button) so that I don't have to pull my phone out of my pocket to address Siri. I sure wish the iPhone integration on my '07 XK had that feature!

Not to steal the thread, but where does that cable lay that connects CD changer to stereo system?
I like the idea to cut into those green-black-blue wires with RCA connector (as described on last page of the pdf), just would like to do it somewhere near hand-rest and not in the trunk.
Thanks for the info in any case!
