That car looks great! I like white on the XJ8. They stand out when they're clean too.

If you can believe it, I only work FREELANCE for Car and Driver. I know, I wouldn't believe it myself either. Lol just kidding. I actually took this on my cell phone at a Sunoco station.

The 'Stang in the back adds the element of 'speed' to this shot. Secretly, the left ftont fender is RUINED in this picture, I replaced it later. I dented it in my school parking lot on a stupid monster truck. $1100.

The Lebanese guy who owned the station was laughing at me for taking pictures of my car ! Turns out he loves his Jaguars though.

You can sort of tell as the L/H Outboard headlight doesn't fit the wing edge correctly. TBH I spotted that before I read the text so maybe not too big of a secret!

It fits even worse on the new fender... I am having no luck adjusting the fascia. It may as well be hidden in a forest. Of kitchen knives. The headlights don't fit properly in ay of their holes, and also the stupid grille is too far out! Venty vent...

Oh and here are a bunch of great pictures of our lovely Jaguar.

Nice Porsche eaters!

Hey Guys! Why don't you have side stripes on yours cars? All of my two XJR's (waiting for rebuild) has painted stripes on it's side panels.

Last edited by xjrsteve; 08-17-2011 at 01:33 AM. Reason: side panels

The ever-so-elusive XJR 100, that's intimidating to even us XJR operators. The poor Porsches never know what hit them (evil laugh).

Thanks, they're Alcon monobloc, full Alcon brake system upgrade with 2 piece discs ceramic pads. One of the mods you can see, lots you can't!

What's with the blueish lights on your car?

Thundercat, the rrp on my Alcon system (without the engineering to make them fit) is around 10,000, they're fitted to the XKR-S. I ditched the Brembo set the 100's come with. The wheels, well BBS made Jaguar 500 sets worldwide, start hunting, they're as rare as hen's teeth.

You'll need good brakes with the upgrades you're having done. I do have a set of front calipers and Goodridge stainless steel hoses you might be interested in, but you'll need 355mm Brembo front discs.

The BBS Montreal isn't all that rare, I could buy one of a few sets for a couple thousand. BBS sold them to Jaguar, but I don't believe it was totally exclusive. I've seen a few XJR-100s on the street before, so they seem to be deceivingly common as well.

Tell that to the guy who bought some XKR Montreals for his XJR and discovered they wouldn't fit They are rare for the XJ models as they have a specific stud pattern.

They only made 500 XJR 100s for sale worldwide and there are less than that in the world now. There was only one XJR 100S ever made though :P

Well, some guy on the forum was selling a set for like $2900 2 weeks ago.
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/p...0in-set-61446/

I believe these are the XKR ones though. I was just talking about the Montreal, not necessarily the XJR-100 spec ones. But yes they are hard to find, just not impossible.
