Well, speaking in general, I would take it to a upholsterer and ask them if its stained permanent or do they have something to get it out. If its permanent, ask them how much to dye it.
I had a big, what appeared to be a red Slurpy stain on my back armrest and seat, down under also, from a previous owner. I had some other repairs, but for this, he dyed the all the seats and they look fabulous still almost 2 yrs now.
dying is better than faded/stained leather but 1 of the drawback it the the contrasting piping don't contrast anymore
So correct Luc, but I didn't care after almost 2 yrs contemplating it and getting $2600 quotes for total replacement just to match the piping. Unless this was a special type of Jag, I wasn't concerned and nobody I know knows the difference. ....gee, come to think of it, perhaps I best choose better friends.
I just did mine. Got a dye from Leather Magic, don't use them. I think others have had great success from Leatherique (sp) anyway, I needed to spot test and add white shoe polish to get it to match. I had many spots on the seats and console, it is permanent, so don't waste time and energy trying to get it off. Then read threads about refurbishing the mirror. Good luck.
