Need Right-inner tie rod for 2002 XJ8

The right-inner tie rod on my 2002 XJ8 is bent. I have not been able to find a source for it. The local Jag dealer said that I need to buy a complete, new rack and pinion, which includes the inner tie rods, for only $1500!

Is there really no alternative? If I could find a used rack and pinion is it possible to just remove the part that I need?
Does anyone know of a parts source with reasonable prices?
Any other suggestions?

No affiliation on my part. I just happened to see it. Apparently Black Dog makes a bunch of Jag parts. Other places may sell them too.
