Newbie to Jag 99 xj VX vanden plas.. need advice
I've had this car a few months beautiful car. Last few days will sometimes not turn over, just a click by passenger front sounds like and also from sounds like the cigarette lighter sometimes?? Message center reads low coolants(nearly full, doesn't overheat) & Traction control failure, or a couple times said Pecus with a t below. Will start after a few tries of going through the system check cycle after turning key. Usually strong starter and runs well. Have noticed a small jolt upon acceleration if you try to accelearate quickly. Always run premium. Battery only a few months old, 160,000 miles ..not sure what this could be, any suggestions???

Welcome to the x308 forum after starting at the XJ-S one.
Maybe you can introduce yourself, write a few words about yourself and the car in the new-member section.
On your problem, although as you mentioned relative new, I should suspect the battery first.
If the battery is draining (that is below 12.6V), all kind of weird things start to happen, including fail messages on various components.
Do a search within this forum, and you will find plenty of threads.
Maybe you begin the problem solving process by checking the actual battery voltage before you next time start the car, and go from there.
