Default Help determining trim level

Hi all. I have an 03 xj8, wondering if you can tell the trim level based on rims/chrome trim/interior etc... When I bought it on auction they called it a super v8, but it's not supercharged so I assume that's wrong.

Looks like a base unit: XJ8. Looks like my first X308, which was a 2001 Canadian unit.

Not sure where you are located, but check for rust. Also Jaguars love vacuuming and any good leather cleaners . . .

I do agree on the base model, charcoal grill inserts, no wood on the steering wheel, rims, etc., the white piping on the seats was maybe optional, maybe standard by 2003.
Seems they mis-routed the cooling hoses (thermostat and radiator -> expansion tank), pay some attention there as engine cooling is an important issue on these cars.
Looks you are in for quite a bit of work, welcome to the club!

Should be able to find a new right tail light fixture on eBay. Stump hose looks like it is about to go (is that what you meant, Eric?).

I see what you mean: it looks like the hose going to the overflow needs to be disconnected and reconnected to the nipple going to the radiator and then extended to the radiator; the hose going to the radiator is actually the hose bent to go to the overflow bottle. As it sits now, the hose to the radiator is likely to burn through . . (that it?)

The proper routing (minus the tag maybe ...)
I must say that I would like to see them going under the covers, those hoses are about the only distracting thing in the bay.
But considering the 'plastic-ness' of them, better not ...

Yeah mine snapped when doing the idler pulley we went with a proper sized hose & had no issues since.
