Default Bad Pedal Placement?

Don't know if Jags have always had their pedal layout this way (I am guessing they have), but I find the brake and accel pedal position uncomfortable to say the least. I have to lift my foot to move it every time apply the brake. To cope, I learned to drive with two feet. Has anyone else felt the brake pedal is too far away from the accelerator pedal? Am I too used to driving a manual trans? FYI, I wear size 10.5 shoe.

I actually think the brake and gas pedals are too close. I wear a size 12 shoe. I have even taken my shoes off to drive a few times as a result.

Lol... I was just thinking last night that they're too close. I can't fit my size nine foot between them to stretch my legs.

I added two layers of foam rubber to the gas pedal to raise it up closer to the height of the brake. It is dense rubber so it works ok.

Neither too far or too close, but too little clearance above - okay with shoes and sneakers, but the toe of my size 12 Timberlands hit something above the pedal area (feels like plastic panel) fairly frequently. Got used to it though.

Whatever that is above the gas pedal, it can really get someone who is new to driving the car. Had that happen on a test drive just as it was time to pull out into traffic by making a left turn across the road. Being able to hit the gas can sometimes be just as important as hitting the brakes. All those horses under the hood don't help much if you can't find the pedal.

Size 10.5 loafers.

Same problem here. I've given up trying to drive the car when wearing anything bulkier than gym shoes or dress shoes. My Shoe is a USA size 12M. I've found that when wearing boots like the Timberlands, the edge of the sole will catch on the edge of the brake pedal when I lift off of the accelerator. One close call was enough for me.

My 12's were a bit tight on the pedals at first, but I don't even notice it now.

I have been trying to find a solution to this problem with my Lincoln. Can you explain a bit further what you did, how you did it, and what you used. It would be appreciated

Thanks
