Xj8 Completly failed Rotor

you need to remove this screw it holds the rotors on during line assembly at the plant, now they use cheap rings on 2 studs. You may have to use a impact driver the you hit with a hammer to break loose, then knock the rotor off with a hammer, you might want to spray the hub with liquid wrench if rusty, and rotate the rotor by hand as youre hitting it to knock it off evenly...of course this is all assuming you and I are talking about the same thing

It may be just the plug which seals an access hole to the parking brake adjuster. If you stick a screwdriver in the slot is it made of rubber? If so it's just the plug. Remove it and back off the park brake adjuster as a rust ridge has mostlikely formed stopping the hub from coming off.
