Default rough ride 2000 XJ8

The once incredible smooth ride of my 2000 Jag xj8 has left me. I think I can drive over a dime now and tell if it is heads or tails. Driving over pavement cracks I can feel them in the front wheels and then later in the rear wheels. I have 200,000 km on the car and the right rear shock has a clunking in it, probably from the lower joint. Is there anything that could cause the all round bad ride of this car?

Replace the shocks. I would recommend the following: OEM, Bilstein, Koni, or Boge.

Also, get new bushings, especially for the front.

With that many miles it's wide open. It depends what's been changed and what hasn't. It could be any number of bushings, shocks, tires, etc.

I will be doing the shocks when it warms up a bit. My concern was that it seemed to happen all at once

you also need to get the front upper shock bushing replacement kit from Ken and have the old ones pressed out and the new ones pressed on. It takes like 5 minutes to do and a whole lot cheaper than buy the Jaguar upper plates with bushings that are a 1 piece assembly...and theyre not even avail and backordered since the supplier was not machining the step into the metal sleeve and the shock rod comes all the way up through....
