Montreals are my favorite and they made XJR,s 100 with them from factory but check my garage .

DJ-Roy your car looks amazing with those wheels:icon_nut:

check this out - I've a set of Perseus but debating on rolling the rear arches to fit them...brand new in the box - I'm yet to pull the trigger on some 20" Bridgestone Potenza tyres for them....I'll get round to it, but the Montreal are so gorgeous....I might save the Perseus for the XKR I'll eventually buy ;)

Very nice! I can't help but think that car was sponsored by Armor All :icon_crackup:

Thank you!
But the original Montreal wheels on the XJR100 are 19" and the Montreals of XKR are 20" or is this a wrong information from my side?

Sean for the Perseus with its 285 on the rear do you have to modify the wheels housing heavy or is is it a slight touch?

Regards Maxi

I have both ,the 19" XJR100 wheels ,and 4x 9J 20" Montreals with 255 tires that you see on the pictures from my car
The 20" was an option at the time for the XJR100.
The XKR got 10J width on the rear .

Thanks Roy!
I would try the 10J on the rear if they only needs slight modifications.
At the moment i would choos the Montreals, but tomorrow.... nobody knows

unfortunately they both look like cheap aftermarket rims :(

but if i had to choose, montreal

burmaz 12-12-2012 04:33 PM

I would go for the montreals. But the Perseus aren't too bad either. They might be the only non OEM X308 rim that looks good on the X308.

No no no... I'm rocking the BBS Detroit and they look amazing on her!

Now im sure, i take the Montreals but how much work is needed to the rear wheel housing to fit the 10J... only edges rolled?

2002 XJR 100 (Montreal Wheel Purchase) Urgent!!!

Hi guys

I have been a Jaguar fanatic for 15 years. I recently got an XJR 100 that has "18 Milan wheels on it, due to the original "19 Montreal's being bent. I recently found a set a "20 montreals, but I am afraid that the 255/35/20 (the rear) rims won't fit on that car? does anybody know %100 of the "20 montreals from an XKR 100 will fit? About a year ago when I acquired the XJR 100, I got a hold of the "20 Persues wheels. Well low and behold the rear Perseus stuck out from the car by almost a half inch. Would this happen with the Montreal 20's? I am in desperate need to know this as I don't have much time to acquire these rims. Anybody who has experience in this question, your help is much appreciated.

Thanks

255 35 20 is what Jaguar recommend biggest size tire and is a perfect fit on the front/rear.

If the 4 wheels are 20X9 MXD6156JAN Genuine Jaguar it will be no problem to fit them.

20 x 9 - MXD6156JAN
Front/rear X308 Alloy Wheel - Single - Montreal - 20 x 9 - MXD6156JAN

Don't do it!
Sell them to me instead ;)

IMHO the Perseus and Detroits look the best on these cars. I've priced up a set of Detroits from Japan, because they were always my dream wheels for the XJR, but the Perseus, with their classic BBS spokes, looks just as good, but possibly a little bit more... sophisticated?

I really do envy you Brits and Yankees, it always seems so easy for you to find wheels. I really do live in the wrong corner of the planet to be a Jag fan :(
