Is it possible to fit sunglasses in the overhead sunglass storage compartment, I cant seem to figure out how mine can possibly fit and they are just normal size.

"Normal" can be different, based on style. Normal aviator style, I assume? I have smaller prescription glasses, about the same size as my regular silhouette glasses, and they fit pretty loosely with room to spare. Folded up, and with the holder open, I put them in, facing outwards, and upright, so the arms are facing the front of the car, and the lenses facing outwards. But I've only used smaller frames, and haven't tried anything that doesn't fold pretty much flat. I have another pair of shades for when i wear contacts, but they're wrap-around style so they don't fold flat, but more like almost 3" thick when folded. So those certainly won't.

Okay, I'm thinking mine are all wrap around style or just to thick and the one's Bob posted although stylish are just not going to work either. So, I shall be shopping for Jaguar specific fit sunglasses in the near future and your what fit and work well recommendations are appreciated :-)

Actually one of the things I miss when I updated to the XF... Now my vintage RayBan's just slide around in the door pocket.

Just ordered some Nike Fly Sport sunglasses and think they should fit overhead compartment as well as my face. They can be had for 32.00 after using the code SAVE14 with free shipping and no tax for the next twenty hours here:

Never tried Nike sunglasses before but for thirty two bucks to my door figured I would give them a shot, after finding my Oakley, Seven Eyes and Wiley X will not fit :-)

Sunglasses in the overhead storage compartment?? No. That compartment is made for READING glasses! At least it is when you’re in your 50’s haha. My sunglasses fit perfectly in the driver door compartment :-)

Indeed, they should've had TWO compartments, one for sunglasses and one for reading glasses. In the XF with everything controlled on the tiny touchscreen, I have to put on my reading glasses sometimes just to change settings.

Got my new Nike sunglasses today and they fit that overhead compartment like a glove, not bad sunglasses either for thirty two bucks. They are not polarized and hence the absence of rainbow effect when looking through tinted glass, very lightweight and pretty flexible. These shall inhabit the overhead console and my others the drivers side door compartment when I'm missing that polarized view and they are not on my head :-) .
