Could be a lot of things from an air leak, fuel pump, bad coil(s) or supercharger problems.
You can eliminate the SC as a problem by disconnecting the SC drive belt and running it without it for a short period.
How many miles does the car have?
Have you pulled the diagnostic codes, if any? If so, post them and we can help you more. If not, get them read and let us know.

At idle, the system is under a vacuum not pressure, so you would hear air being sucked in.
Air leaks are definitely possible, but taking you have not touched any of these parts, and only the MAF, it may be related to that.
Have you replaced the MAF with an OEM or Aftermarket version?
If OEM (and you have the right part number), you may want to reset the ECU’s fuel trims (remove battery for a couple of minutes), or if you have an odb2 reader you can check the airflow and fuel trims.
If aftermarket, then get rid of it and buy an oem one. Then you could also try to put your original MAF in and see if the car runs ok.

This isn't the level of detail that's likely to get you any useful help.
What kind of noises?
I don't know what skipping means.
Where EXACTLY does the air come from?

Hi Sandra,
I'm a little confused. In November you were posting about a possible air leak in the supercharger. Did you resolve that problem, and this is a new issue?
Smoke on acceleration is often oil getting past the rings, in which case there should be evidence of it in the air inlet tube near the MAF sensor. Is the smoke a bluish color?
If you are not too far from Douglasville I would be willing to take a look at it.

Another possibility just came to me: The part load breather may be plugged, causing the crankcase to pressurize when idling at a light.
The part load breather tube is attached to the front left valve cover with a norma connector. Spread the ring from underneath with needle nose pliers to release and pull it off. Then clean the bore with a 3/32" drill.
