The rear nearside back door will not open from the inside. It is not the child lock because the other door opens on the other side. Any ideas on what I can do ?.

 

Does the door open from the outside, If it does then the remote cable from the handle has broken. You can download the parts catalog from www/SNG Barratt a forum sponsor and get the part number for a replacement.

 

Does the lock actuator work?...and does the handle feel like its giving easily or is it binding. Because you specify the inside, I can assume the exterior handle works?....I suspect a stretch cable.

You can remove the bezel and then the handle assembly and you may see some stress releases on the cable there. If not, you will need to do this anyway, ...remove the door card and inspect the cable.

 

It does open from the outside. But both of the back doors have been a bit dodgy when opening. You have to pull the handles really hard for the door to open.

 

Pull the door card and inspect it then, it isn't going to get better.
