Default Restricted performance, MAF plug shorted to manifold

Oil change shop forgot to plug my mass air flow connector back in after service. Had restricted performance and MAF codes. Black wire was melted through and stuck shorted to exhaust manifold. Wire not damaged, just insulation. Taped it and re-plugged into MAFS. MAF codes now extinguished on current scan, but "restricted performance" is still on. Reset computer by disconnecting batterey and holding pos to neg for 30 sec. No change. Wonder what the black wire goes to and what was damaged, could it be the computer ? Knock sensor ? I will try to trace a diagram if I can find one. The shop will be looking at it on Friday but I have my doubts since they are not Jaguar authorized. Any ideas on how to proceed. There are no engine codes present at this time.

Does the black wire have a trace on it? Like maybe yellow or green? Do you have a scanner to read the MAF and the input air temperature from the OBDII system?

Why would they remove it for an oil change? I think I would notified the shop to their error and document what has occurred. It may not cost anything or could turn into something expensive. Best of luck!
