Do I need a special adapter for when I am to replace my speakers?

Also, any recommendations on some speakers?

I just repair the speakers when the foam deteriorates.

Thanks. Why would one choose to replace the foam instead of getting a new pair of speakers? I'm wanting to change the speakers as I have to set the bass to 0 else there's an annoying popping sound.

The popping sound is the speaker cone shaking without support!!! Replacing the foam restores the speaker to working condition.

The factory speakers are already setup for the car and the repaired speakers are much cheaper than buying Jaguar Phillips speakers.(or Harmon Cardon or Alpine or.....)

You can get a repair kit for all 4 speakers for less than $50.

If you decide to replace the speakers you can remove the sockets from the old speakers by drilling out the center rivet and cutting the coil wires. You can then solder them into place on the new ones. I bought the Rockford-Fosgate speakers recommended in other posts on this site for a little under $100 on Amazon. The sockets sit nicely over the top of the new connectors and a little bending with pliers and a dab of solder is all that's needed.

It was recommended I remove the old Jaguar connector, and use spade connectors to connect to the speaker.
