Sunroof Leaking
Hello,
I have a 2000 XJ8 and recently had some bad rain in my area. I went to move my car while it was raining because it was in my neighbors way and when I got in there was water all over my seats and floor mats. If your sitting in the driver seat and look up at the sunroof the driver and passenger back corner has a little gap that you can barely see the light coming through but its just enough that water comes through too. I think it is a sealing problem but I know that it is suppose to leak a little water and go into the drain tubes. But I only see drain tubes in the front and not in the back. Also It wasn't leaking when we got light rain the week before or when I was washing it it only started in the heavy rain. So how do I stop it from going back and ruining the inside of my car? Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thank you vey much for any help |
if it is badly misaligned it will overflow the drains and start leaking. there are rear drains

You might check if your drains are clear. If not, then clear the tubes until the water drains freely.
